Kappa Phi is to receive a charter from Delta Tau Delta Fraternity of December 10, 1966. It was recently announced at a dinner at the chapter house by Western Division President Robert Kroening. The granting of the charter and the initiation of members into Delta Tau Delta will be at the Westminster chapter of Delta Tau Delta. It will be followed by a banquet here in Rolla.
Kappa Phi has been a colony of Delta Tau Delta since the spring of 1965 and has been actively preparing itself to meet Delts rigid requirements since then. Among other requirements was a high scholastic average which was obtained last spring when the overall house average was fourth among fraternities and the active average was second.
The receipt of the Delt charter will be the culmination of almost exactly three years’ work since the founding of Kappa Phi in December 1963.
